There are more direct routes to Sweden that include extended ferry rides, but the country is reachable solely using trains. Travel from London to Brussels via Eurostar, then from Brussels on to Cologne, take an overnight sleeper from Cologne to Copenhagen and finally catch a high speed X2000 train from Copenhagen to Stockholm.
